1. Why HBS?
A: Because we focus on quality embalming by way of advanced training techniques.
2. Why is HBS more expensive than some others?
A: Simply put, we pay our agents more. We believe that little extra goes a very long ways.
3. Why was HBS started?
A: There is a very strong need for quality embalming. If you’ve ever received a ship-in you know its going to be a
crap-shoot at best. HBS takes the guesswork out of it for you.
4. Can I become an agent?
A: It is possible, yes. Please complete the form and a representative will contact you shortly.
5. Does HBS handle cremations?
A: Yes, we handle all facets of funeral service, however our focus is on Quality embalming.
6. Does it take long to receive bodies back:
A: No. In some circumstances due to medical examiner holds it may take a bit longer, but typically 48-72 hours.
7. Where is HBS coverage area?
A: HBS is growing very fast and we do cover the entire US for the exceptions of a few black-out regions. Once HBS
trains and verifies quality embalmers in those areas we will be one step closer to our goals.
8. What type of container does HBS use for transports?
A: HBS uses a corrugated cardboard that is water resistant and very sturdy and approved for air transport. In
some areas we use full wood surround.
9. When we take an out of state death call what do we do?
A: Simply call HBS at 866-699-SHIP (7447) and we will handle all the details.
10. How does HBS control quality?
A: We use a check sheet created by expert embalmer and owner Matt Smith. Each case must have a completed
check-list and a case report.
